Rent a cosy barge in Amsterdam
The 40-person barge Jacob van Lennep is ideal for trips through the Amsterdam canals and surroundings.
This barge was originally a passenger ship pulled from the shore by a horse. The Jacob van Lennep is still just as environmentally friendly, because this beautiful barge sails electrically, so it is clean and quiet. We can open both sides of the hood and the roof so you can enjoy the lovely weather.
In winter we will have the boat comfortably heated
Boarding Point
The boarding point is at Singel 359. You can view the boat in advance if you wish. Do you want to board a different location? Ask our employees about the possibilities.
A 40-person barge for every occasion
The Jacob van Lennep (1888) is a bit smaller than her sister ship Hildebrand. The beautiful barge is suitable for every possible occasion – from drinks to parties – for groups of 15 to 40 guests. We often use the Jacob van Lennep for company parties, guided boat trips and as a cocktail boat. The Amsterdam Satay Boat is a popular all-inclusive package on the Jacob van Lennep.

We equipped the barge Jacob van Lennep with all modern comfort, such as a ship’s bar, toilet, heating and music system. We can adjust the interior for every occasion.
Popular All-inclusive Packages
We have a very wide selection of packages. These are the most popular. All packages are complete and arranged in this way, but customization is possible with us! So if you want something extra special, we are happy to help you. You can complete the application form or call: +31 (0)20 42 33 006.
Book a boat with a guide?
A boat trip in the Amsterdam Canals is an experience and there is no need for a guide on board to enjoy the tranquility of the water, the architecture along the shores and the highlights on the canals. But maybe you and your party have sailed more often in the center and you want to offer your guests some extras this time.
In that case you can make your boat trip even more special by hiring a professional guide who tells everything about the history of the city, the architecture and interesting facts about its UNESCO heritage.
